New York State Crime Stoppers Offer Reward For Information In Garrison Killing
Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports that New York State Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the shooting death of Mr. John Marcinak. The incident occurred at approximately 12:20PM on December 31, 2008 on Route 9 in Garrison, New York.
New York State Crime Stoppers is a non-for-profit organization whose goal is to help make New York State communities safer as they work with law enforcement, the media, the business community and public to accomplish that goal. Those calling New York State Crime Stoppers with a tip may do so anonymously. The caller who provides them with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s) involved in this case becomes eligible for the reward offered.
Sheriff’s investigators and deputies continue to conduct interviews and analyze forensic evidence in an effort to develop suspect(s) in this case. They will be circulating fliers announcing the reward offer throughout the region.
Members of the Putnam County District Attorney’s Office are assisting in the investigation.
