Carmel Man Faces Drug Charges
Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith announces the arrest of a Town of Southeast man on drug-related charges.
On February 11, 2014 at 8:32 p.m., Deputy Sheriff Brian Aisenstat stopped a motorist who had committed a traffic violation on Route 312 in the Town of Southeast. The deputy determined that the driver, identified as Patrick G. Disbrow, 31, of 171 Tammany Hall Road, Carmel was in possession of a quantity of a controlled substance and a hypodermic instrument.
The deputy arrested Mr. Disbrow and charged him with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree and with Criminally Possessing a Hypodermic Instrument, misdemeanors. The defendant was processed at the Putnam County Correctional Facility and released in his own recognizance pending a March 6, 2014 appearance in the Town of Southeast Justice Court to answer the charges.
If found guilty of the misdemeanor charges, the defendant could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.00 for each charge.
