Dutchess County Man Charged With Unlicensed Operation

Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the recent arrest of a Dutchess County man who was determined to have been driving with a suspended license.

On January 15, 2012 at 9:45 a.m., Deputy Sheriff Scott Lombardo stopped a motorist who had committed a traffic violation on Railroad Avenue in the Village of Brewster. The deputy determined that the driver, identified as Edgar L. Lorenzo-Martinez, 25, of 245 Guski Road, Red Hook, New York held a suspended license. The deputy arrested Mr. Lorenzo-Martinez and charged him with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree, a misdemeanor. The defendant was released in his own recognizance pending a future appearance in the Village of Brewster Justice Court to answer the charge.
