Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the recent arrest of a Peekskill man on a charge of unlicensed operation.
On September 21, 2013 at 4:32 a.m., Deputy Sheriff Michael Neuner responded to a report of a “rollover” personal injury automobile accident involving one vehicle on Church Road in the Town of Putnam Valley. The deputy determined that the driver, identified as Joshua J. Richardson, 23, of 1732 Congress Avenue, Peekskill, New York held a suspended license. The deputy subsequently arrested and charged Mr. Richardson with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree, a misdemeanor, and released the man in his own recognizance pending an October 24, 2013 appearance in the Town of Putnam Valley Justice Court to answer the charge.
If found guilty of the misdemeanor charges, the defendant could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.00 for each charge.
